This beautifully soft poncho is handmade by Katie at her studio in Wales, each piece is made on a hand-powered domestic knitting machine. Inspiration for this geometric pattern comes from Moroccan tile prints and ceramics combined with traditional Welsh textiles. Made from the highest quality merino lambswool and cotton yarns, this cape is a perfect accessory to dress up a pair of jeans or to wear on a Summer or Winters evening. This flattering colour of steel blue combines with neutral tones of pale dove grey and duck egg blue in the trim, this piece of knitwear is the perfect accessory to wear in all weathers – take it to keep you warm on a beach walk or throw it on later for a drink at the pub! About Katie Victoria Textiles

Katie Victoria works at her studio in Swansea, South West Wales where she creates most of her collections. Working on a hand powered domestic knitting machine she creates a variety of fabrics and products from hats and scarves to ponchos and jumpers, combining high quality merino lambswool and cotton yarns. Taking inspiration from cultural architecture, Moroccan tile ceramics and Scandinavian textiles, she designs and creates individual fabrics for fashion and interiors.

Katie also works with a local factory in Carmarthenshire for her sock production, as well as a small traditional knitwear factory on the Scottish Borders.

Katie sells her collections across Britain in a variety of shops and galleries, whilst also receiving orders for her products worldwide. To date her designs have featured in the likes of embroidery magazine and Country living.

All of the yarn used in Katie’s products are spun and dyed at UK mills. The lambswool is of the finest quality merino and guaranteed to be mulesing free. Lambswool is the wool from the first shearing of the Merino sheep which gives it it’s soft touch quality.

Lambswool can be recycled, it’s sustainable and completely biodegradable, leaving no detrimental effects on the environment.
